Keep in mind that Eclipse is an open source project and hence your
involvement in helping make it better will be appreciated. There is a
wiki where you could start to outline a user's guide and hope that this
will prompt the developers to help flesh it out further:

With EMF, if folks start a wiki document and ask me to review it, I
typically feel compelled to expand on it. The principle being that I
tend to be more inclined to help those who help themselves...

I agree with you, at the moment, STEM is not very user friendly (but =
everything does work). The code was released in June and is still in =
"incubation", so I would classify it as "not done yet". The reason it =
was released was to make it possible for others to contribute to its =
development, including helping with the code, data, mathematics, =
documentation, tutorials, NLS, etc. Right now we've got people working =
on model mathematics (including the only Epidemiologist I know who can =
also handle EMF!), BIRT integration, advanced transportation models =
(e.g., people on airplanes, cows on trucks), NASA World Wind integration =
(mostly done), batch processing, data set legalities, and GUI design, to =
name just a few things going on. =20

Please come join the team, we'd love to have your help. The first thing =
you could do is use the Eclipse bugzilla to report the things you think =
need attention. Follow this link: =
