Hello,
is there a way to use the same Eclipse installation on Windows and Linux=

I know that there must be some differences between this versions because=

of the OS-specific GUI and so on, but is there a way to get a =
multiplatform Eclipse-version anyway? Perhaps by building it from source=
?

It's easy enough. You just have to add the platform-specific fragments from one to the other -- for example, by copying the contents of the plugins/ directory from a linux install into the windows one (or vice versa). The native executable is different (eclipse vs eclipse.exe) so you can host them in the same directory structure if you want.
