Plans for java>7 [message #1864673] Tue, 02 April 2024 16:38 Go to next message

Hi,
As modisco is a dependency of many other projects and as modisco is stuck on java 7, is there any plan to upgrade to a newer java version?

Kind regards

At least the java metamodel and the parser would be enough for many cases.

As noted in https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/t/1115877/ MoDisco 1.5.5M2 removes Java 5/6/7 references that break on Eclipse 4.33 (2024-09).

No support is provided for post Java 8 constructs. If you care to contribute, org.eclipse.modisco.java.discoverer.tests is where tests of new functionality could exist.
