Our company uses Eclipse and JUnit extensively to develop in-house |
semiconductor engineering tools. But when we recently created an RCP
application, there was a huge test coverage hole.
We have hundreds of JUnit tests for our non-RCP projects, but nothing for
our RCP app, which has pushed me back into the dark ages, test-wise. It's
been giving me ulcers not to have an automated regression suite for our
RCP app, especially since it's so easy to break some obscure part of the
GUI without realizing it.
I tried SWTBot for the first time this morning, and in less than two hours
I have my first test of an Eclipse RCP application up and running!
Huge thanks to Ketan and the team for getting this working! I look forward
to writing many new tests, and I'll contact the team with any
contributions I may have.
