Waiting time in milliseconds or seconds? [message #1859626] Tue, 20 June 2023 17:48 Go to next message

Hi,

I was running a simulation in SUMO for a university project where we are required to determine the service levels using the waiting time. However, the numbers the program outputs are in the thousands. If these were milliseconds this would make sense. Does anyone know if the waiting time units is is milliseconds or in seconds?

Thanks!

You're on the right track! In SUMO, the time unit is indeed in milliseconds. So, if you're seeing waiting time values in the thousands, they're representing seconds. To convert them to seconds, simply divide by 1000. It's a common point of confusion, so don't worry, you're not alone in wondering about this.

Good luck with your university project!
