Hey there,

Currently running Sirius Desktop version 7.0.7. Since updating to 7.0.5 (and then again to 7.0.7) we are getting a black background for the hover icon on Linux but not on other platforms.

Anyone able to confirm if this is a Sirius bug or if they also get this? We've not customized anything for this. Could be one of the graphics libraries.

Image attached.

Cheers
Jonathan

Yes this is a known issue under Linux.
It's not specific to Sirius, I believe it is present in GEF Classic, or at least in GMF Runtime (Sirius uses GMF Runtime which itself uses GEF).
The image you see comes from here: https://github.com/eclipse/gef-classic/blob/master/org.eclipse.gef/src/org/eclipse/gef/internal/icons/Tree_Add.gif and the cursor is defined in https://github.com/eclipse/gef-classic/blob/master/org.eclipse.gef/src/org/eclipse/gef/SharedCursors.java

Actually, after some searching it seems the root cause might be in SWT itself: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=575448
