Recover Project Using the Workspace Local History Files? [message #1854607]

I'm using Windows, and just accidentally deleted a project that was 3 months of work in. There is still contents in the workspace/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.core.resources/.history, so I assume that the files should be somewhat recoverable. I've tried the "recover files from local history" in the IDE itself, but the deletion took the project information files with it. Any help as to how to recover my files would be appreciated.
