For Reference, I work for a school district. We are trying to set a folder inside the google drive app to use as a workspace, for our students to sync their projects to work at home if they would like. We are Mac OS

When I try to set the eclipse workspace to a folder in Google Drive I am greeted with a "the folder is invalid or read-only". I tried giving Full Disk Access & Network Drive Access to Eclipse, and it still does not work. However, when I am logged into an administrator account (or when I give myself administrator credentials), I am able to select and use the folder inside of the Google Drive application with no problems. As soon as I log into a standard permission account I am greeted with the error again.

I'm not sure anyone who has a mac and has tried to use Google Drive will see your question. I expect that this is likely a bad strategy anyway. I know on Windows it's just typically a bad idea to use a network drive for your workspace. Also, the workspace's .metadata subfolders might contain absolute paths so the workspace needs to be located at the same path on all systems. It might even contain absolute paths of things outside the workspace, making it portable only if those things are located at the same location on all systems...
