Hi
My Java 11 Eclipse 4.22 installation has happily supported Java debugging for many days.
Suddenly breakpoints are no longer shown as a blob, rather a diagonal (deprecated/not-installed) line is drawn through them all, even on a trivial independent Java project, Nothing distinctive is visible in the error log. No clues in the Breakpoint Properties.
Restarting/rebuilding/rebooting/moving to 4.21 makes no difference. (A different installation + workspace is still fine.)
But when restarting, the breakpoints are correctly shown as a blob until a JUnit launch (standalone or plugin) is activated. Then they all re-acquire a diagonal line.
It is possible that the failure started after I closed about 30 projects, or perhaps after I obsoleted a .settings/org.eclipse.jdt.ui.prefs. Closing the projects upset the advanced source lookup error log-wise, but reopening hasn't helped.
Any suggestions as to how to get breakpoints to work again?
Regards
Ed Willink
