Null type when creating a bulk report [message #1847844] Wed, 10 November 2021 04:11 Go to next message

Dear,

We are running Maximo 7.6.1.2 (Build 20200715-0100 DB Build V7611-01) in combination with BIRT Designer All-in-one 4.8.0.v201806261756 to print reports. We have an issue within the 'workorder' section. Whenever we print more than 1 workorder, there is a big chance of BIRT reporting an error:

The following items have errors:

Table Header:
+ Failed to load value for "null" type column "manufacturer".

Whenever we try to print this exact same workorder in a single report, there are no errors. I can thereby confirm there are no errors in the report. Only creating a report over multiple (bulk) workorders is causing this.

What is causing this and what can we do to fix it?
Feel free to ask me more information if necessary.

Yours,
Mike

This looks like a Maximo problem and not a BIRT problem.

Thank you, Wim. I indeed wanted to exclude the problem being a BIRT problem.

To be honest, it looks like an issue in the data. Column "manufacturer" has a null value. If this is your own report then you should fix it. If it is Maximo's report then you should call them.
