Consider a business process where task A branches off to task B1 and task B2. But, outcome of B1 and B2 is to be processed by task C. The BPMN modeler raises an error if I put sequence flows from B1 and B2 into C. The only way to get around this is to create C1 and C2. This will make my BPMN model verbose.

1. Why does such a restriction exist? I noticed the same for EndEvent too.
2. What is the work around, recommended approach for such "diamond" flows?

You can allow multiple connections setting the option in the BPMN 2.0 preferences
