Eclipse won't stay downloaded on Mac [message #1845124]

I have been using eclipse for about 2 years now, but for the past month or so I've noticed that I need to keep redownloading it, as all I have installed on my laptop will be a non-functioning Eclipse Installer if I exit out of eclipse. Is there a way to fix this?

That doesn't make sense. The installer creates an installation. Have you just forgotten where you put it? It asks you for a location where to install...
