Compiler core dump on Linux and Windows [message #1844967] Fri, 01 October 2021 04:22 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hello,

I got a compiler core dump while compiling last versions of ETSI PKI, IEEE 1609.2 and 1609.2.1 ASN files.
I created a small project based on Hello demo with all these ASN.1 files (see attached file).
Just execute 'make check' to get the core dump.

My compiler version is:
TTCN-3 and ASN.1 Compiler for the TTCN-3 Test Executor
Version: 8.0.0
Build date: Jul 23 2021 09:26:26
Compiled with: GCC 9.4.0
Using OpenSSL 1.1.1g 21 Apr 2020
Commit id: 50f4bb3c3

Many thanks for your help,

BR\Yann

Hi Yann,

We have some achievements. The crash is gone in the latest codebase, but there are false negative errors still.

Here You can follow the progress:
https://gitlab.eclipse.org/eclipse/titan/titan.core/-/issues/573

If You have the time please build Titan from the latest code and let us now if You have any comments.

Regards,
Lenard

Hello Lenard,

I did some test with the latest version from GITLAB, and I got strange errors using the sample MyExample-211001-1017.tgz I provided in my first message.
These errors are about circular reference:
Ieee1609Dot2Dot1Protocol.asn:255: error: While checking circular type references in subtype definitions: Circular reference: `' -> `@Ieee1609Dot2Dot1Protocol.SignerSingleCert' -> `'

To be honest, I don't understand the reasons of these errors.

Thanks a lot for your support,

BR\Yann
