Hi,

I'm trying to implement the classic (available in most diagramming tools) group/ungroup functionality in our GEF 3.x based editor. This will allow certain elements to move and resize together as a group.

I imagine that there'll be need for a separate edit part to represent the group in the editor (see attached sample.png). This group edit part however is not really a container, I don't think it should be parent of the group items and draw them inside its content pane.

Could you advise? What would be a good way to implement such functionality? Are there any GEF based editors that already implement such functionality?
