We have this Eclipse Platform:

Version: 4.8.0.v20180611-0656
Build id: I20180611-0500

installed on Windows 10 Pro machines and we are trying to apply the following property in the eclipse.ini file:

-Doomph.setup.sync=false

This property is for recording the eclipse preferences changes in a local file or synchronize them in eclipse.org server.

But we don't see different behavior changing the value false/true.

Please, could you Help on this subject or suggest any action ?

I'm not sure where you are getting information about what property to use. Maybe you intend this one:

  public static final String PROP_SETUP_SYNC_SKIP = "oomph.setup.sync.skip"; //$NON-NLS-1$

But that only affect synchronize with remote not whether preference recording is enabled.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
