Grouping data in a table [message #1835390] Wed, 02 December 2020 04:40 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hello!

I'm trying to gather/ group the data I have in my table to one line pr subject (ref attachments). Instead of the "direktoratet" is repeated several times, I want it only one time and then the count to show me how many times in that certain subject in one line.

Like this:
Direktoratet ----------------------------------- 18
Tjenestelinjen ---------------------------------- 1
økonomilinjen ---------------------------------- 4

I've tried to use the group function, but it doesn't seem to help me.

Any suggestions?

what info do you need?

So I reckon this happens because it gathers the different records in the AR system, and then each record is shown in the BIRT table.

please let me know what info you need in this case.

it is supposed to field, but it doesnt.. that is my problem.

It works kind of in the cross tab ( see attachment), but then I have some other obstacles in terms of coulmn. Therefore, I thought it would be a better idea to do it with a regular table.

For the solution, I got told that grouping would be the right way. and if not, you could use "suppress duplicates", but that does not seem to be in the 4.8.0 version.
