I uninstalled and reinstalled eclipse, now I keep getting "Provider jar Not Found" building error when I try to save or build the project.

I'm also experiencing this issue, have you filed a bug?

I just had this after installing eclipse with the installer method. I noticed that the eclipse.ini file had no -vm argument like my other installs (I think the installer based eclipses can embed a vm or something now), so I just copied this to eclipse.ini:

-vm
C:/develop/java/jdk-15/bin

to use my own java. now it works

Yes, there is a bug in the 2020-12 installer that if you use/choose the system default JRE, because no -vm argument is generated in the .ini in that case, the IDE launched from the installer inherits the installer's environment which results in that IDE inheriting the PATH of the installer which has the installer's restricted JRE on it.

Exiting the IDE and restarting it will also fix the problem, i.e., without the -vm argument, the IDE will use the system default, which the installer has already verified is one that can run the product.
