I'm planning to upgrade my CDO server and client deployments from 4.1 to the latest: 4.11. I'd obviously like to keep the existing data that I have in the oracle DB schema that I have for it. Are there any hurdles to upgrading from CDO 4.1 to 4.11? Is there an upgrade guide or tools that can be used to migrate the data from 4.1 to 4.11 if that's required? The target platform is centos 8 with java 11. Any suggestions or references would be appreciated.

R4.1 is more than eight years ago. On the one hand it's great to hear that such an old version still does its job. On the other hand I'm sure that nobody missed upgrades for so long. So there's not much experience or guidance for you now. You'll have to try it out with a copy of the database and see how it goes. At least the automatic schema migrator had been introduced in October 2012, so chances are that the internal schema changes since 4.1 are automatically applied to your database. If you encounter problems nevertheless, please ask here. Good luck ;-)
