Hi,

I am trying to modify a function block in forte by adding some real time library in the code. For proper execution I need to run forte with super user privileges.
I am aware how to default forte with super user privilege, but here I am running three different resources with different port numbers and i need to run each of them with SU privileges.

E.g:
su ./forte 61500
su ./forte 61501
su ./forte 61502
something like this, or is there a way to do the same from the IDE itself? I looked around and couldn't find anything like this hence the new post.

Thanks,
Shobhit

Running IDE with SU works for this.

Please please please do not run 4diac IDE as SU. This is not a good idea. Better to use a shell script for starting 4diac FORTE. 4diac IDE is completely fine if the 4diac FORTEs you are using are not started from 4diac IDE.

Just as a thought can you make real-time rights available for just a group. I'm always getting nervous when to much has to run as SU.

I have never looked into it as such but maybe PAM rules for users can be an option?
