Eclipse not exporting gradle dependencies into jar when using jdk11 [message #1832212]

I recently switched to using jdk11 and suddenly when i export to a runnable jar, no dependencies that i put in the build.gradle file are present in the jar.
Switching back to jdk8 resolves this issue. Why is this and how can i fix this because i need some features from java11?

I switch jdk by going to window > preferences > installed jres > adding & selecting jdk11 folder. Then when i go to buildpath > Libraries, jdk11 is listed under Modulepath. Am i doing this wrong, if so whats the correct way of doing this?
