Difficuty installing GEF DOT in Eclipse [message #1831809] |

I'm hoping to use GEF to edit and preview DOT files within Eclipse.
I followed the instructions here: https://github.com/eclipse/gef/blob/master/README.md#eclipse-graphical-editing-framework-gef
Namely, installed GEF DOT End-User Tools and GEF Cloudio End-User Tools.
The GEF editor opens a DOT file, does syntax highlighting.
However, other features don't seem to work:
- toolbar buttons missing
- option for output file type does not show file types (see image).
- nothing displayed in GEF image window
Any help much appreciated!
Thanks,
Best Regards, Dave

Hello Dave,
It is possible that GEF DOT is not yet compatible with Graphviz 2.44.1
I have just tested it with Graphviz 2.38 and it is fully working on my machine.
Could you please give it a try with Graphviz 2.38 and give feedback if it is working?
Hope that helps.

Hello Dave,
Thanks for your feedback!
...If you are missing any functionality or have suggestions for improvements, please open a corresponding Eclipse GEF Bugzilla on the GEF DOT component...
Have you already entered a bug report that GEF fails with 2.44?
Or found it impossible to work around the incompatibility,
and entered a bug report on dot itself?
Thanks!
Best Regards, Dave
