Hello, I need to install Eclipse for an assignment for school but I get the error "Failed to create the Java Virtual Machine" when I try to open the program. I was wondering if someone can help me to fix this? I'm not a big computer expert so please explain it very easily to me. I'm willing to pay for the help if it's possible so feel free to PM me if you want. I'm using Mac Yosemite 10.10.5 and have installed JDK 8.

The Mac should be upgradeable to OS X 10.11 El Capitan. I'm running the 2020-06 Eclipse with a lot of plugins on an El Capitan with Oracle Java 11.07. The new pieces of CDT are not happy with Java 8 anymore.
