Hi all,

I was new in Eclipse Birt Report generated, need someone help and advise on how to solve the different issue on report layout printout in PDF on the number of records and pages when compare the local PC with server client environment.

Under local pc :
- Report generated by eclipse birt total pages will be 3 and under 1st page there are total 16 row records.
- There is no gap at the report footer on all the pages.

Under client server :
- Total pages will be 4 and under 1st page there are total 14 row records.
- There is gap at the report footer and always stop at the record row 40.

Below are info on the version on PDF and Eclipse Birt Report generated and attached are the screenshot on the report layout on both environment.

Local PC :
PDF Produce: iText2.1.7 by 1T3XT
PDF Version: 1.5 (Acrobat 6.x)
Page Size: 8.27 x 11.69in

Eclipse Platform :
Version: Oxygen (4.7)
Build id: I20170612-0950

Server environment :
PDF Produce: PDFium
PDF Version: 1.7 (Acrobat 8.x)
Page Size: 8.27 x 11.69in

Hopefully can get someone help on this and will be appreciated, thanks.

Hello Pick,

It is'n so easy without the report to analyse the issue because normally I get the same layout on client and server side if I sue the same BIRT version.
For example I use the version 4.6 on client and server side and all is fine. Also the reports which are created with 4.8 client side looks like the same with an 4.6 BIRT server version.

Which BIRT version you have on your client side and on your server side?
Have you the same version on both sides?

Thanks for your reply.

There is no eclipse birth report is install at client server side, only run the report in pdf file, and the following are the details that I get from the client's server and compare with my local pc.

Local PC :
PDF Version :
PDF Produce: iText2.1.7 by 1T3XT

Page Size: 8.27 x 11.69in

Eclipse Platform :

Client's server environment :
PDF Produce: PDFium
PDF Version: 1.7 (Acrobat 8.x)
Page Size: 8.27 x 11.69in

And I try to workaround on adjust the report layout and using Fixed Layout and check on the page break setting to solved the report layout gap issue and thanks for your advise.
