I am trying to use Bukkit API to make a plugin for a Bukkit minecraft server. To do this, I need to go into project >> build path >> configure path, then click 'libraries' then 'add external jars' and add the bukkit api jar file. However, the 'add external jars' button is greyed out, implying that i am not allowed to use it. Can anyone help?

If your project builds with Java 9+ make sure you've selected Classpath (as shown here). You should also be able to add the JAR with right-click on the project > Build Path > Add External Archives....

If that doesn't help, would you tell use the version and package of Eclipse IDE you're using?
