Hi

Has the boxing of call arguments changed since 4.15?

In https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=563068 I am currently struggling with miraculous regressions that only make sense if JDT previously boxed boolean to Boolean outside the function call, but now boxes inside the called function. i.e new code calling new code is ok, old code calling old code is ok, but new code called by old code is not ok.

Regards

I'm not aware of recent changes directly concerning boxing, but checks for unnecessary casts have changed. Do you care to show an example?

Hi

Yes. I'm pretty confident now after a day of my struggles and probably similar time of IT struggles

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=563442

Running OCL, built post M2, on almost any vintage of Xtext fails.

Regards

Ed

Hi

Wrong. JDT is without fault. The problem is an Xtext API evolution. See https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=563476
