There are two schema files: xml-schema and xml-schema-xmi. Which schema is recommended for our own tools?

There is no real preference: Both files are generated from the ecore / xcore model description. The included information is mainly the same.

Thank you very much. It seems that they are a little different in maxOccurs / minOccurs, but we do not care when ranges written in documentation are covered by (minOccurs, maxOccurs) in XMLs.
