Running Eclipse.exe as another Windows user [message #1820580] Thu, 23 January 2020 04:50 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hello,

The Eclipse I am using is running on a Windows system.
In the Windows system, I am logged in as "user1".

Before upgrading to "Eclipse 2019-12", I was able to run Eclipse as another user "user2":
user1[at]cmd.exe> runas /user:user2 "c:\where\eclipse\is\installed\eclipse.exe"

Now, when I run that command, I get the message:
"The Eclipse executable launcher was unable to locate its companion shared library."
and Eclipse is not started.

Can you help me manage to run Eclipse as "user2"?

Thank you and best regards.

I reinstalled Eclipse ("oomph" installer).
I ran the installer as administrator.
I unchecked the box "Bundle Pool".
Now I can run Eclipse as "user2".
