With the Update Manager, you could install plugins to a specified directory, then use that directory with any
installation of eclipse. What is the intended way to do that with p2?

To eclipse.technology.equinox (see the Followup-To: header of Paul's
message).

Paul, when re-directing messages with Followup-To: you might want to
indicate the destination newsgroup in the message body, since I'm not
sure the web client shows such headers or if all users are experienced
enough to look for them.

Hope this helps,
Eric

Eric,

Thanks that does help. This is the first I've heard of Followup-To. I can see it with my Thunderbird client if I do a
ctrl-U.

Ooops, I used to spell it out, but I must have lost the habit. Sorry, guys.

Later,
PW
