After right-clicking .java file and selecting Open With... then selecting WindowBuilder Editor, the Design tab is empty. It has been non-empty just last week, can't tell what is different. Under Help | Install New Software..., when I click Already Installed, it lists 6 WindowBuilder items all version-stamped 1.9.2nnnnn. It also lists lots of SWT and Swing items. I have uninstalled and reinstalled WindowBuilder.

Nothing instructive in error log, I ended up just starting over since it was a first-time effort and it seems ok so far.
Does anybody know if WindowBuilder generates 32bit or 64bit executables? I got a build error in my project saying that InsuranceChoice (my bundle) is not a valid win32 application. I was tempted to think "Damn right it ain't" but realized that would not help.

I'm getting there, a thousand thanks. But I can't resize items added in WindowBuilder from now gloriously non-empty palette. They have the little black squares on their corners and the mouse looks a hell of a lot like a resize tool, but dragging has no effect. I also don't understand what is meant by North, South, East and West when adding an item.
Yes, I feel like an idiot.

It looks like I could not move or resize items because I had not selected a layout. Having selected Absolute, it seems to work fine. Kind of non-obvious, but hey, this is Java, I now understand nothing is easy. Job security for those who can program in it.
