I observed the same cumbersome behavior as described in "EGit freezes Eclipse in 2019-06 release" few weeks ago.

I found this problem solved after installing the EGit/Jgit releases during the last weeks.

With the newest update (5.5.0.201909051128) however, this cumbersome behavior seems to be back again.

I'm using Eclipse 2019-06 on Windows 10 with jdk1.8.0_181.

Best,
Benno

Can you create a thread dump to find out what's going on ?

I actually had the same problems in the last years multiple times with new versions of EGit, which was very annoying.

I use Putty with Pageant and Plink. GIT_SSH set to PLINK.exe. With every action Eclipse freezes, just showing the flickering progress bar. When I--after some time--kill the Plink process, EGit proceeds and seems to be successful.

I also created a thread dump of my Eclipse during freeze, but do not want it to publically submit here. Can you contact me by E-Mail, just google my name.

Ciao
Franz
