Hi 4diac users,

For which platform is this FORTE binary for? You will find it under the heading FORTE in the Downloads page. I tried running it in a Raspberry Pi Zero W and it gave me Segmentation Fault. The one provided for Linux x86 64-bit works fine in my Linux x86 system and I never had any issues.

I have been compiling FORTE from source for the Pi, following these steps, and it works fine even now. Now, I am just curious what those ARM prebuild binaries are for.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers

Hi Vishnu,

hmh, it should run on a raspberryPI and previous versions did. I'll have to check on what went wrong here. You don't have any furhter information what could go wrong with the version we provide?

Cheers,
Alois

Thank you Alois for the quick reply. I tried the same binary(let it be A) in my Rpi 3B model and it worked fine. I also tried the compiled binary(let it be B) from Zero W and that also works fine in Rpi 3B. So A has issue only with Zero W. I also had a Rpi Zero model, without onboard WiFi and Bluetooth, lying around and both A & B worked with it. I am attaching B here for you to maybe have a look at.

Cheers,
Vishnu
