Hello Ben, we took an eye at the tutorial you have proposed. Thank you for your contribution.

We are currently working on making Papyrus easier to learn in the context of Systems Engineering using embedded tutorials, cheatsheets or alike. Should we use your proposal and content, we would get back to you.
Best regards

Theo for the Papyrus team

Hi together,

this tutorial is really good and it helps to let me understand sysml in Papyrus. Is there a place where I can find more of them?

Best,
Michael

There's also a tutorial named "Getting Started with Papyrus UML Light" at: https://wiki.eclipse.org/Getting_Started_with_Papyrus_UMLLight

And three for Papyrus for Real Time at https://wiki.eclipse.org/Papyrus-RT/User#Tutorials

Hello Sophie,

Yes I used a similar workflow example (a car climate control unit) based on the Cameo System Modeler Book of Knowledge. My company has a license for Cameo and therefore I was able to read it. Unfortunately it is copyrighted so i cannot provide it and it is probably not on the web as you have discovered. It would not help you with Papyrus as the example only tells you how to do things in Cameo anyway.

v/r,
Ben

Ben,

Awesome work. Could you add some material on ports and data flows?

I'm trying to learn SysML using Papyrus and am having difficulty with ports and flows. I've used FlowPorts with connectors previously without issue. I noticed in your tutorial you didn't use ports at all but stuck with ItemFlows. Could you add some coverage of ports? Specifically FlowPorts, Ports, FullPorts, and ProxyPorts. I have an older SysML book that covers FlowPorts and (UML) Ports only. If I had some examples then I could tell if what I'm doing is incorrect or if I'm hitting a bug. What few examples exist in the wild pertain to commercial tools.

Thank you!

G. J.

Many of you have enjoyed my initial tutorial on modeling with SysML in Papyrus. The tutorial became too big to post here so I have given the files to a friend to publish for me on Kindle. It is free for Prime members and $9.95 to buy should you choose. Link is below. Enjoy.
