I am running Eclipse Neon 3 on my Windows 10 laptop. I have Windows Subsystem for Linux installed which gives me access to a bash terminal. The bash terminal can be launched by executing C:\Windows\System32\bash.exe.

I assume the terminal view in Eclipse launches C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe inside a panel in the IDE. I am wondering if there is any place that location is set, as I would like to switch to bash.exe instead.

If this is not exposed as a configuration is this something that can be overridden with a plugin? It would be a nice introductory project for me

Does this question relate to yours?

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/44220993/how-to-run-system-shell-terminal-inside-eclipse

Have you hunted through the preferences to see if this is configurable?

Sorry I don't really know how this is implemented or what is supported. I think you are using this project:

https://www.eclipse.org/tm/

And I think this is their forum (according to the preference link):

Thank you for the reply. The StackOverflow post doesn't quite address my question. I have attached a screenshot of the plugin I am speaking of. I believe it is part of the Eclipse core, not a marketplace plugin. What level of certainty are you that this is TM plugin? Thanks!

The plug-in spy can help answer questions like this, i.e., Alt-Shift-F1 will tell you which plug-in contributes the current view and from that namespace you should be able to figure how who (which project) is contributing that.
