Hello all,

I am a student.

I am on BIRT 4.3.1 and i am trying to count the number of type in a column

A B C D
x y 3 1
x y
y x
x y

I am trying to count the number of "x" and "y" in column B, Then write the result in column C(x) and D(y).

I tried to do data item and aggregate function on the layout to no luck.

Anyone have any suggestion what i can do?

"x" and "y" are strings

I've taken a screen shot of the test table
