On my RCP application preferences I have a total of 6 prerference panels for all my application settings.

On top of the list (tree, but for the few prefs which I have it is a flat list) there is the "type filter text" text box.

I have searched, but I cannot find a way to remove the text box, it is confusing - users are asking me what is is doing.

How can I remove or disable the Filter Text box?
