This is just curiosity post - nothing to write home about.
Does anybody have any info about how often we will have "new and improved " release?
And what is with this nothing descriptive - 03 M1 ??
( Any designation ending with "1" is suspicious )
Actually a list of "new and improved " or "corrected" stuff would be nice too.
Just dreaming.

It's the first milestone ("M1") for the next Simultaneous Release, "2019-03". I'm not sure where the "03" would have been mentioned without the "2019" part. When the simultaneous release went from annually with 2-3 maintenance releases, to just being quarterly, the convention of using a chosen name was dropped.

Thanks for reply.
Not sure I like the "new" cadence of releases.
IMHO it gives bad impression ( of lack) of QA.

Perhaps I'll pass judgement (if anybody cares) on next "easy to update" version.
The 2019 -03 -M1 did not use "installer" - just extracted the download and then run Eclipse.
Maybe it is a time to ditch " NOW we have Installer ..." info.

Also the flash screen still shows 2018-12 . Perhaps that is not part of the new releases plan to update.

PS
App still won't run when project is imported from another workspace.
I am working on that problem.( posted elsewhere )

The https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/2019-03/m1 page does have installer links. In any case, the installers available from https://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse_Installer can install any version of Eclipse, i.e., these installers contain additional UI controls for choosing the version you wish to installer (and for choosing which JRE/JDK you wish that installation to use). Sometimes it takes a while for the code in the new stream updates the splash screen, but it would definitely be good if that happened for M1.

There are quite a few answers here:

This will be a simultaneous release every 3 months:
