JRE Missing - Eclipse won't install with JDK 11 [message #1802066]

I tried to install Eclipse, it open this page: https://download.eclipse.org/oomph/jre/index-handler.php?vm=1_1_7_0_64_0&pn=Eclipse%20Installer&pu=http://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse_Installer&pi=http://download.eclipse.org/oomph/jre/128x128.png Telling me I do not have java installed and linking to different JDK's and JRE's Versions. I installed JDK11, the first link, but it still gives me the same error -> JRE Missing.

When I installed JDK8 witch contains JRE 8 (IIRC). I was able to install Eclipse.

1. Why is JDK 11 not enough to install Eclipse?
2. Why does the page, JRE missing, recommend JDK 11 as the top most option?

Thanks for any input here.

Did you really install Java 11, or just unzip it? (There are two downloads for it.) If you just unzipped it, did you put it on the system path? The installer looks in the system registry and on the system path. If it's not there, it won't find it automatically.

This is how JDK is installed viewed in Windows Programm deinstaller.

Ok so you gave me the right hint. Somehow the PATH entries where mixed up. By disabling them I can now install Eclipse on JDK11. Thanks.
