Judging from the lack of reposes from various forums , including this one - I must be the only person in the world trying to seriously use TCF with Eclipse.
So I decided to post this rant , possibly my last post regarding TCF (here) .
Please read it carefully.
I am asking Eclipse foundation management to answer these questions.
Volunteer administrators need not to reply. ( I do not read psychoanalytical, whining replies any more.)
1. Will Eclipse foundation going to seriously include TCF in any form - documentation , references , PRECOMPILED (plug-in) software, real "help" files etc. in future Eclipse releases?
If the answer in NO , disregard the rest of this post.
2. Will Eclipse foundation going to consolidate TCF documentation - now scattered on / in many sites under one roof?
For example YAKINDU published "How to install TCF in Raspberry". This post is no longer on web (?) , but direct copy of it can be found on Eclipse site, after surfing the web. This castrated , by Eclipse , "document" is incomplete and very misleading as far as HOW to implement TCF.
3. Will Eclipse foundation ever make an effort to add real "help" in implementing TCF or are they going to keep ignoring it because "NIH" (plug-in) ?
(TCF is very difficult to debug , but there are undocumented tools to use for such purpose - "Run Tests" diagnostic )
4. Current TCF in TCF repository is version 1.5 and per Eclipse info it is applicable to Oxygen. Oxygen is no longer viable Eclipse IDE.
The current TCF version on github is 1.9 (!).
Will Eclipse foundation going to "update " TCF to current github version ?
5. Who is on first?
This TCF "product" seems to be result of several "authors" - Wind river , XILLINX . YAKINDU, github groups etc.
Is Eclipse foundation interested in "putting all this " visible and accessible under one roof? Or is that out of Eclipse foundation league?
Off my soapbox , have a nice day.
