Hello
Can anyone help I am a new comer to Eclipse. I am trying to use Eclipse to login to a Salesforce Sandbox.

I have a Mac running Mojave 10.14.1 , I have installed Eclispe:

Version: 2018-09 (4.9.0)
Build id: 20180917-1800

I have installed JDK 11.0.1 64 bit from the Oracle Website

I have followed the instructions on force.com and installed the Force.com IDE plugin for Eclispe.

All of this seems to be working fine. I have opened Eclipse and then opened a new perspective for force. com.

Next I have tried to create a new Force.com project. When I right click and select New > Force.com project, nothing happens, no errors just nothing.

So I use the Project option instead, this works. From the Wizard I select Force.com > Force.com Project. I click the "Next" button once, nothing happens, I click it a second time and the Project Name / Login screen appears. I enter the mandatory details (Project Name, Username, password etc.). When I click the "Next" button nothing happens? No error messages no spinning wheels, just nothing. Can anyone help? Have I missed something in the install? Or is there another setting on my Mac I need to adjust. If anyone has anyone else has had this issue please let me know how you resolve it.

You'll have to contact the developer of the Force.com IDE plugin.

Did you ever get a response from force.com? I am having the same issue, but when I open it through the Project wizard it does nothing after I enter all my info and try to connect to our Salesforce build.

Hey guys,

Same situation here. Reached same stage as @Richard Blackman - nothing happens after pressed "Next".

I have an SF org with custom domain and I'm using:

macOS Mojave 10.14.1

Eclipse IDE for Java Developers: Version: 2018-09 (4.9.0) | Build id: 20180917-1800.

Java version: 11.0.1

Thanks,
Lakis

I am having the same issue. Start a new Force.com Project, enter my salesforce credentials and token, nothing happens. No error message or anything.

I am also experiencing the EXACT same issue on the MacBook 2018 Mojave. Has anyone found the solution?

Maven's Mate was a great alternative to Force.com IDE now that is gone. What else is a good IDE (Visual Studio Code only works with scratch orgs I think).

Same issue here

I created a blank project and then added the force.com nature and put in credentials. This worked and it proceeded to download all the metadata from the org but there is no package.xml. If I try and change the contents of the project I get the following error

Unable to create the selected property page.
javax/xml/bind/JAXBException
