Hello guys,

I'm an absolute Sirius-Newbie and I'm looking for a step-by-step Tutorial that describes how to create an graphical editor with Sirius based on an ecore-Model.

I had a look at the getStarted Examples from http://www.eclipse.org/sirius/getstarted.html
but if I understand it correctly the examples provided only show how you can modify an existing graphical editor like the BasicFamily one, but I need to see how to create it from the very beginning (an empty project).

Like the title says I'm looking for a tutorial for dummies :D
I would be very glad if anybody could help me thanks!

Hello Viktoria,

The two available tutorials (BasicFamily and Mindstorms) start from scratch.

In each case, the first step consists in defining the domain model :
- https://wiki.eclipse.org/Sirius/Tutorials/Mindstorms/DomainModel

Then they explain how to create a very simple editor based on the domain model :
- https://wiki.eclipse.org/Sirius/Tutorials/Mindstorms/VisualizationTool

The other steps explain how to enrich your editor with tools, containers, tables, etc...

Best regards,
