HI All,

I've been entertaining the possibly of replace ActiveMQ with an alternative (for integration reasons). I haven't had a chance to inspect the entire code base, so I was just looking for some insight from others.

Does this sound feasible, looking at the broker-core there are actually only a few reference to ActiveMQ) ?
What components would require forking (just broker-core)?

Thanks
Cris

Hi Cris, the broker-core module contains code to perform security checks and message consuming.
So replying to your question is not so simple.
Could you add some info about which broker are you planning to use?

BTW we are working to move the messages consumers and the security features outside the broker. If you want to take a look to the current developing work you can find it in the feature-externaConsumers branch.
