Hi,

I want to create two profiles with Papyrus UML Modeller. One extending the stereotypes created by the other. Is there any way to do this?

For example, in my profile A i want two stereotypes C and D that extend the Property meta-class . In my B profile i want to add properties to C.
Then when i apply profile B to a model i want to have all stereotype of A ( C and D) but with the attributes added in B profile.

I'm using Papyrus 3.0 with Eclipse Oxygen (4.7.0).

Actually, i've tried to do this but i can't find how.

I've created a B profile and import the A one in it. But to add properties to stereotype i had to make the A profile writable and any add modify the A profile too.
I can't find any other way to extend the A profile. Is there a specific way to do this?

Hi

Ah! IMHO The 'update' stereotype facility was always an unfortunate UML2 design decision. It seems to cause needless trouble. Perhaps you have hit upon a bug. Unless someone gives you a simple solution, please raise a Bugzilla.

Hi

Not sure what you mean by "The 'update' stereotype facility" but I'm not using anything special.
I'm just trying to figure how to do what I want to do. No bug here I think.
