Hi,
at the moment Kura can support ARM based and x86_64 based devices.

Yes, Kura has a driver for s7. Here the reference to the code: https://github.com/eclipse/kura/tree/develop/kura/org.eclipse.kura.driver.s7plc.provider

Which files I should download for x86_64 ubuntu 16? as I see download for Raspberry Pi version, is this version can also run on personal computer?

Hi,
Kura is not meant to be installed directly on a PC. There you can use the User Workspace that is executed in the Eclipse IDE and will help you with the development.

The supported platforms are the ones listed in the downloads page: https://www.eclipse.org/kura/downloads.php
There you can find also the user workspace.

Hello Matteo,
I do not understand Eclipse User Workspace very well, is that mean Kura must run under Eclipse IDE? Is that possible to export to .war to run on Tomcat or docker etc independently?

Hi,
on target hardware (mainly raspberry), Kura runs natively on a Java virtual machine.
On a PC, since that is not a target environment, there is the development environment that allows you to use a limited version of Kura inside the Eclipse IDE just for development purposes.

Kura can be run in the no network version in a docker container, but is not a supported environment, at the moment.

As it's built by Java, should be very easy to run on windows or linux based x86 PC, If there is a commercial version for sell I'd like to have a look, thanks.

Hi,
it could run, but you have to consider that in its full version Kura is a network manager. Being so, at framework boot, Kura will start managing your host device network interfaces and probably that is something you don't want in your PC.

There exist commercially supported versions of Kura. I cannot here reference them, but you should be able to find them by googling.
