m2e plugin under Oxygen creates an empty web.xml [message #1791085]

Hi, using maven install, my created war doesn't contain web.xml since I don't have any web.xml in my maven projet.

However when I publish to my weblogic hot deploy server, the resulting war under "MyApp\beadep\base_domain\MyApp\WEB-INF" has an empty web.xml.

Why M2E creates this web.xml ? I'm trying to have an App with no web.xml.

anyone ? someone here is able to hot deploy a war with no web.xml at all ??
