Dear Helpers,

I have downloaded in C:\Program Files[ (x86)]\eclipse-cpp-oxygen-3a-win32-x86_64.zip and want to extract in C:\Program Files[ (x86)]\eclipse-cpp-oxygen-3a-win32-x86_64. It is very clear I do something wrong and stupid but I always received the same message "Compressed (zipped) Folders was unable to create the specified directory. Ensure the directory doesn't already exist, and that the path entered is valid." But both claims do seem satisfied: there isn't any directory C:\Program Files[ (x86)]\eclipse-cpp-oxygen-3a-win32-x86_64 and also the path is looking valid! I observed quite a few things I am - so far - unable to understand because eclipse-cpp-oxygen-3a-win32-x86_64.zip looks like a subdirectory in Windows but not so in the command prompt! I am so sorry I am that stupid! CAN YOU HELP ME? You will find me on a.epskamp@ziggo.nl if need be!

You very likely don't have permission to create folders in C:\Program files unless you're running as Admin. Also note that the (x86) version of that folder is generally intended for 32 bit applications. Probably you're better to unzip into your home folder...

Dear Ed,

Thank you very much for your help: you solved my problem! I wonder if you would allow me to ask you another question! Obs. your name might be Dutch as is mine!
