Hi there,

Any help really appreciated!!

I have created some reports in Eclipse Neon and they run fine in there hitting my Ingres database using the required driver.

I am trying to run from the command line and get errors, the ingres driver .jar file is in the lib folder.

I think that when the BIRTCLASSPATH is set in genreport.bat, it is too long for the environment variable and I get this

SEVERE: file: c:\BIRTRuntime\ReportEngine not exists!

What is the usual solution for this. Do I need to work out which of the library files I actually need to reduce the entry to the env variable? The limit is 2047? My genreport.bat file comes up with a length of over 4800 using the files in the lib folder.

Please help!!

Hi Stepeh,

I had the same error,

Check the output file you're trying to generate,

I couldnt solve the error but I checked the output file and it was correctly generated,

My command was : genReport -f pdf -o test.pdf -F samples\hello_world.rptdesign

My output file was test.pdf and the input report design was the one that comes with the runtime zip folder,
