hey

I need to use the generate Java code from an UML model, and to launch the generation of my Java beans using this generation module I need a ".uml" model as the input, wanted to use the one provided in the UML to Java Acceleo example (File -> New -> Example -> Acceleo plug-in -> UML to Java) but instead it tells me that it requires the installation of the UML project!
I dont get it!

Hi

1) UML.ecore is in the UML project
2) The model support for *.uml is in the UMLproject

You might just survive without 2, but not 1. You are kind of expecting *.java files to execute while refusing to install a JVM.

Sorry but what do you mean by UML project??
is it a project or something to install?

Hi

If you had started with the Eclipse Modeling Package you would already have the Eclipse UML2 project. You can add it by

Help -> Install New Software...

Work with: http://download.eclipse.org/releases/oxygen

Modeling -> UML2 Extender SDK

Next ...

Hey,

sorry to bother u agn but i made some researches and it seems like JVM is already installed in eclipse mars( the version that i'm using), I also created a .ecore project but nothing happened, atleast the notification saying requires an installation UML project is not gone and I wasn't able to generate my code!
Do u have any idea what am I doing wrong in this stage!
