I'm coding a "baseball" program for a CS class which includes playing 1260 "games". Normally, it takes around 30-50 seconds to run through all of them. However, each run gets slower and slower. I'd get around 100 games in the first few seconds but after a few runs, it's only playing around 11-12 in 4 seconds. Also, before the slow downs happened, the CPU usage hovered around 15-22% but after it slowed down, it would spike to 12% and then flatline at 4%. I tried enabling skip all breakpoints but it didn't do anything.

CPU - i7 8550u

Any help would be great,
