Hi the spell check is not working on new install version 4.72 on windows 10.
I have check preferences and it is check on.

Thanks for asking I got it to work.

I had to change dictionary to the UK and then back to US and it began to work in comments Then I had to to tell spell checking to ignore string literals so it would check strings. I guess it does not check the variable names.

oops i had to uncheck ignore string literals to get it to check strings.

I am running Eclipse 2018-12 (4.10.0) on Windows 10 and Eclipse is recognizing the misspelled words, but is not giving any optional spellings. It just says:
The word 'warrantee' is not spelled correctly.
                          Press 'F2' for focus


I would expect, at the very least, an option to add the word to my personal dictionary (which is a text file that is referred to in the configuration.

Any help would be appreciated. All the installed software in my Eclipse environment is listed below.

Where specifically in the UI? Have you told it where to put a personal dictionary?
