Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and English is not my native language, please tell me if i'm doing anything wrong.

I am posting here because i can't start Eclipse for Java, and would like some help as i don't know much about Eclipse...
I have never managed to launch Eclipse, and when clicking eclipse.exe, an error is returned, telling me to browse the log file. However, i have no clue how to read these logs...

My PC is rather new, i have very few programms installed on it.
To start coding, I downloaded :
- jre-9.0.4_windows-x64_bin.exe from oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre9-downloads-3848532.html (removed https://www. because i can't link to oracle as this is my first post on this forum)
- Eclipse Windows 64-bit from https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/eclipse-ide-java-developers/keplersr1

I am joining the logs.

Thanks in advance !

HI

The Kepler version of Eclipse is four years old.

Java 9 support is very new.

Using anything earlier than the SR2 release of Oxygen is guaranteed to fail.

(And if you're new to Eclipse and Java, you might choose to use Java 8 for another year.)
